Florence Emily (Wilson) Pedulla, age 92 of Malaga, passed away Sunday, December 16, 2012 at the South Jersey Regional Medical Center, Vineland after a brief illness.
Born in Millville on September 7, 1920, Mrs. Pedulla graduated from Millville High School, class of 1938. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from the NJ State Teachers College of Glassboro in May of 1942. The first five years of her teaching career was in Franklin Twp. She then taught at the Irving Ave. School in Bridgeton for five years. The next 30 years she taught in Millville. She spent two years at R.D. Wood School and the next 28 years at Mt. Pleasant School. She taught Kindergarten, Second, Third, Fourth and Fifth grades, and she retired in 1982. In 1974 she married her husband Dominic.
She was a member of the Malaga Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed doing ceramics, molding, and painting them, and crocheting doilies and afghans.
Mrs. Pedulla is survived by two sisters in law, Elaine Volpe and Frances Gravenor; one brother in law Frank Pedulla and wife Mary; several nieces and nephews; and her friend Virginia Milita. She was predeceased by her husband Dominic; her parents, George and Emma (Harris) Wilson; her sister Ruth; and her brother Harry.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday in the Christy Funeral Home, 11 W. Broad Street, Millville. There will be a viewing on Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Millville.
