Elva M. (Miller) Morey, age 83 of Millville, passed away Friday, April 25, 2025 at home surrounded by her family.
 
Born in Manhattan, NY to the late Ernest Miller Sr. and Helen (Wilson), she grew up in Millville and was a lifelong resident.  
 
Elva was a very strong willed woman.  In her early years she worked as a barmaid for many local bars.  She then worked as a housekeeper for Econo Lodge in Vineland for ten years and retired.  

Elva enjoyed playing Skipo and Bingo with her family, going to the casinos, and traveling with her husband, but most of all she loved barbequing and spending time with her family.
 
Elva will be sadly missed by her two daughters, Debra Hoffman and Katherine Lewis (Bruce) all of Millville; one sister Tina Del Duca of Millville; one brother Ernest Miller Jr. of PA; ten grandchildren, Thomas, Crystal, Bruce, Debra, Vincent, Alison, Butchy, Staci, David and Stephanie;  many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family; and her loving and faithful dog Tiny.   She was predeceased by her husband Thomas Stewart Morey Jr. in 1999; her son Thomas Morey III; two daughters, Tommie Sue Morey and Wanda Kocak; three siblings, Daniel Wilson, Mary Robinson and Albert Miller; three grandchildren, Justin, Amanda and Anthony; one son in law Clarence Hoffman; and many fur babies.

Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 in Greenwood Memorial Park, 10th and Broad Streets, Millville.  

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to South Jersey Regional Animal Shelter, 1244 N. Delsea Drive, Vineland, NJ 08360.
