Elizabeth A. Caruso, a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 24th, 2026. Born in Mt. Vernon, New York, Elizabeth's journey through life took her to many places across the United States before she settled in Millville, NJ, in 1989, where she became a cherished member of the community.

Elizabeth dedicated her professional life to serving as a Business Office Contract Specialist with the Federal Bureau of Prisons in Fairton, NJ. Her commitment to her work was matched only by her devotion to her family and her many interests.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her loving parents, Guido Arditi and Mary Devenuto Arditi, and her beloved husband, Arthur A. Caruso, with whom she shared a passion for travel and entrepreneurship, assisting him in managing their Subway stores. Together, they created a life rich with adventure and love.

She is survived by her devoted children, Laura Richard (Jeffrey) and Elizabeth Marques (John), who carry forward her legacy of love and resilience. Elizabeth was a proud grandmother to Robert and Nichole Richard, and Madison and Matthew Marques, who were the light of her life. Her siblings, Stephen Arditi (Linda) and John Arditi (William), along with her niece, nephew, and several cousins, will forever cherish her memory.

Elizabeth was known for her rebellious spirit, her love of family traditions—especially the cherished seven fishes dinner—and her passion for gardening and reading. She found immense joy in spending time with her grandchildren, nurturing their growth and sharing in their accomplishments.

A visitation will be held at Christy Funeral Home, 11 West Broad St., Millville, NJ, on Wednesday, July 1st, 2026, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, followed by a memorial service at 1:00 pm. Family, friends, and all whose lives Elizabeth touched are invited to celebrate her life and share their memories on her tribute wall.
