Dorothy A. (Kelly) Stiney, age 69 of Millville, passed away, Friday morning, May 3, 2013 at the Inspira Health Network, Vineland. She had been in declining health for several years.
Born in Pittsburgh, PA, she grew up on Neville Island and graduated from Neville High School. She then graduated from Point Park Junior College in Pittsburgh.
After school, Mrs. Stiney married and raised her family in Millville. She then attended the Cumberland County College and received her RN license.
Mrs. Stiney worked for Millville Hospital and South Jersey Regional Medical Center, and retired after 25 years of service.
She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, and she was an avid sports fan, especially the Philadelphia Flyers and Eagles.
Mrs. Stiney is survived by two sons, Michael E. Stiney and wife Maria of Allen, TX, and Thomas Stiney of Absecon; one daughter Robyn Mancus and husband Paul of Millville; and three grandchildren, Melissa, Robert and Zachary Stiney, all of Allen, TX. She was predeceased by her husband Robert M. Stiney in 1995.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 in the Christy Funeral Home, 11 W. Broad Street, Millville. There will be a viewing on Tuesday from 1 to 3 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be private at a later date.
