Doris A. Pedersen, age 67 of Newfield, died suddenly and unexpectedly Sunday, December 1, 2013 at Inspira Health Center, Vineland.
Born in Woodbury, she grew up in Vineland and spent her summers in Pennsylvania.
Doris attended the Vineland Beauty Academy, and later moved to Mountain View, CA. She worked as a Beautician before moving back to New Jersey in 1979. For a few years, she worked at Belco Glass Co., and then for Larry's Restaurant and Bar in Millville as a cook. Most recently, she worked as a bus aide for Sheppard Bus Co., where she took care of children with special needs. She truly loved her job at Sheppard Bus Co.
Doris was a member of the Sharptown Church in Woodstown. She enjoyed gardening, the beaches, her family and grandchildren, her pets and her church.
Doris is survived by her son Christopher Pedersen and his fiancée Connie Rocco; three grandchildren, Amanda Pedersen, Krysta Pedersen, and Robert Rocco; and three great grandchildren, Melody Castellini, and Alexandria and Havynn Rocco. She was predeceased by her mother Doris Louise Pedersen; her father George Hernandez; her brother Darryl; and her aunt Molly Archer.
A graveside service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 7, 2013 in Siloam Cemetery, Vineland.
