Doris Mabel (Gale) Freeman, age 98 of Millville passed away Monday evening,  June 23, 2025 at Preferred Care at Cumberland in Bridgeton.
  
Doris was born in Millville to the late Louis and Hannah (Reeves) Gale, and was a lifelong resident.  

She began working for the Cotton Mill in Millville, before devoting many years with Millville Laundry as a presser.  

Doris was an active Den Mother for the Cub Scouts, and she loved going to the casinos, camping, sewing, and working in her yard, but most of all, she adored her time spent with her family.

Doris will be sadly missed by her two daughters, Nancy Hanlon and her husband Paul, and Carol Reiser, all of Millville; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.  She was predeceased by her husband George E. Freeman Sr. in 2013; her son George E. Freeman Jr. in 2021; her son in law Charles Reiser; and many brothers and sisters.  

Graveside services will begin at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 27, 2025 in Mt. Peasant Cemetery, Millville.
