Doreen L. Pettit, age 54 of Millville passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Monday, September 16, 2024 at Cooper University Hospital in Camden.  
 

Doreen was born in Millville to the late Fred and Elizabeth (Fedorski) Pettit.  She attended Millville Public Schools, and she was a lifelong resident.  
 

Over the years she worked as a bartender at the Watering Hole, in housekeeping at the Holiday Inn in Vineland, at the Company of Angels, in both Millville and Vineland, and as a cashier at the Gulf Gas Station in Rosenhayn, while being her mom's caregiver throughout her life.  

  Doreen enjoyed watching scary movies, riding four-wheelers, mudding and smoking marijuana, but most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends.  
 

Doreen will be extremely missed by her sons, Joe Velez, and Justus Velez, both of Millville; her siblings, Sherry Keenan, Dorothy Pettit, Kenneth Powell, Dolores Powell, Patricia Ethofer, Randolph Powell, Robert Powell, Steve Pettit and Fred Pettit; one granddaughter Willow Velez; many nieces, nephews and dear friends, and her loving dogs, Chloe, Emmy, and Layla.  She was predeceased by one sister Cynthia Pettit.  
 

A memorial service will be conducted on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at 11 a.m. in the Christy Funeral Home, 11 W. Broad Street, Millville.  Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the funeral home.  Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
