Donald H. Garrison Obituary

Donald H. Garrison, age 72 of Millville, passed away Saturday morning, June 29, 2024 at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Bridgeton to the late Hoover H. and Rebecca (Baker) Garrison.  He grew up in Dividing Creek and attended Millville Public Schools, until he was drafted into the United States Air Force.  Donald served during the Vietnam War from 1970 to 1974. 

After he returned home, he began working at Spinelli Brothers Trucking Company before starting his own business.  For many years Donald owned and operated Mud Duck Enterprises in Millville.  Once he retired, Donald worked for his father and son at H.H. Garrison Well Drilling in Millville.  He also landscaped the NJMP properties.  

Donald was a member of the Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, the Millville Moose Lodge and the Millville Elks Lodge No. 580.  He enjoyed playing pool, camping, going to car shows and fixing things.

Donald is sadly missed by his wife Elaine (Wright).  Together they would've celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary on July 3rd.  He is also sadly missed by his children, Donnie Garrison (Lisa), Megan Garrison (Mike), and Sherry Garrigan (Matt); two brothers, Brian and Ricky Garrison; six grandchildren, Taylor, Caleb, Kayden, Chase, Anthony and Daniel; and three great grandchildren.  

Along with his parents, Donald is also predeceased by one grandson Kollin Keegan.

A Celebration of Donald's life will be held from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, August 4, 2024 at the Millville Moose Lodge, 40 Bogden Blvd., Millville.  Memories of Donald and condolences to his family may be shared on the tribute wall.
