David L. Burns Sr., age 76, departed this life surrounded by his wife and children on Friday, December 5th, 2025. A long-time resident of Millville, NJ, David was born in Darby, PA, and made Millville his home for over 50 years.

David was a devoted husband to JoAnn Burns and a beloved son to Mary Jean Burns. He was preceded in death by his father, Norman R. Burns Sr., his brother, Norman R. "Dick" Burns Jr., and his sister, Bonnie Bassett. He is survived by his loving children, son David Burns, Jr., and daughter LeAnn Burns. He also leaves behind his cherished sisters, Betsy A. Burns and Beverly J. Booz, his sister-in-law Pat Burns, and several nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.

David dedicated 40 years of his life as an Industrial Pump Mechanic at Deltronics in Millville, NJ. His commitment to his work was matched by his dedication to his country, having served honorably in the United States Army from 1969 to 1971.

David was an active member of the Millville Eagles, the American Legion Nabb Leslie Post 82, and the Millville Elks. He found joy in playing left, right, center at the Eagles. Throughout his life, he had many hobbies including painting, photography, sewing, going to the beach, and listening to music. He loved going to country concerts with his children.

Family and friends are invited to join together for a viewing at Christy Funeral Home, 11 West Broad St., Millville, NJ, on Wednesday, December 10th, 2025, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and again on Thursday, December 11th, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
