Claude E. Cheeseman Jr., age 72, passed away Monday, May 29, 2023 at home.
 

Mr. Cheeseman was born in Millville, NJ and remained a lifelong resident.

Claude had a younger brother, Louis, who passed away several years ago.  His parents were Claude Sr. and Doris (Gheysens) Cheeseman, who also predeceased Claude.  He also has other family that lives in the area.

Claude was a graduate of Millville High School, Class of 1969.  He attended Cumberland County College, and was a bookkeeper for Deltona Tire in Egg Harbor Township.
 

Claude loved the Lord.  He was an active member in Second United Methodist Church for many years.  He also attended and was an active member in the Millville Church of the Nazarene.
 

Claude sang tenor in two gospel groups, The King's Quartet and 2nd Kings.  He also sang in worship praise teams.

Claude enjoyed his family, friends, fishing, golf and football.  He also enjoyed Ocean City, especially, the beach and boardwalk.  Disney World was a particular favorite of his.

Claude is survived by his wife Patricia (Spizzica) Cheeseman of more than 50 years.  Claude and Pat have three children, Kirsten (Cheeseman) Basye and her wife Lisa Basye, Erin (Cheeseman) DeSalvo and her husband David, and a son Ryan Cheeseman of Atlanta, Georgia.  Claude also has a grandson, Sean Freeman who is twelve years old.
 

Relatives and friends are invited to join a celebration of his life on Saturday, June 10, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by a time of sharing.  Claude's service will be held at the Millville Church of the Nazarene, 2201 E. Main Street in Millville.
