Carolyn Jane Kwasnicki (nee Valentine), a beloved sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 14th, 2026, at the age of 84. Carolyn was born in Erwin, Tennessee, and later made her home in Millville, New Jersey,
She was a Quality Control Inspector among her different jobs at Wheaton Glass Co for 49 years.
She liked traveling with her companion Alvin Burgess and her friends, exploring new places and creating lasting memories. An avid bowler, she enjoyed the camaraderie of her bowling league. Carolyn had a deep love for animals, especially cats, and found joy in their companionship. She was also a coffee enthusiast and an avid reader.
She accepted Jesus as a child and was baptized.
She is survived by her loving siblings: Bonnie Jackson (Robert), June Janecki (Dave), and James Valentine II (Sherry). Carolyn was a cherished aunt to many nieces and nephews and a dear friend to countless others. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Rosetta Riddle Valentine, and her siblings, Mary Duncan, Ludie Valentine, Wayne Valentine, and Martha Chapel.
A viewing will be held at Christy Funeral Home, 11 West Broad St., Millville, NJ, on Friday, May 22nd, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am. Interment will take place at Greenwood Memorial Park, Millville, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations in Carolyn's memory may be made to the Funny Farm Rescue & Sanctuary, 6908 Railroad Blvd., Mays Landing, NJ 08330, reflecting her love for animals. Memories of Carolyn and condolences for her family may be shared on her tribute wall.
