Carol Campbell, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, servant of the Lord, and faithful friend, passed away on January 27, 2026.

Carol was born in Penns Grove, NJ to Harry and Alice Mullica and was raised in Alloway, NJ.  After graduating from high school, she began working at M.C. Shrank Company in Bridgeton, where she met Alfred Campbell.  They were married in 1962, settled in Millville, and began building a life together centered on faith and family.

Carol and Al built their home on Patricia Avenue, where they raised their two daughters, Colleen and Pamela.  While her daughters were young, Carol worked as a teacher’s aide at Downe Township School.  She later partnered with Al in owning and operating Hopewell Paint and Wallpaper, where her warm personality, creativity, and genuine care for others made her an invaluable part of the business.

She served as the Purchasing Assistant for the City of Millville for 24 years before retiring.  Never one to stay idle, she continued serving others as the church secretary at the Millville Church of the Nazarene.

Music was one of Carol’s greatest joys.  She loved singing gospel music and sharing her faith through her trio groups, The Pleasantaires and Hearts of Praise.  Her beautiful voice, kind spirit, and unwavering faith touched the lives of many.

Carol is lovingly remembered by her two daughters, Colleen Campbell Miller (Phil) and Pamela James (Joel); and her seven beloved grandchildren: Eden, Justin, Hannah, Lydia, Evan, Serena, and Josiah.

Her legacy of faith, service, and love with continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her.

A graveside service will be held privately at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, 601 W. Main St., Millville, NJ.  Memories of Carol and condolences for her family may be shared on her tribute wall.
