Carol Ann Buck

Carol Ann (Jones) Buck, age 83 of Millville, passed away, Tuesday evening, May 16, 2023 at home, surrounded by family and friends.  

Carol A. Buck was born to the late Jonathan and Mary (Lloyd) Jones Sr. of Millville, NJ.  After attending Millville Memorial High School,  Carol went on to begin her 34 year career with Armstrong Cork Co. in quality control.  She also received an achievement award at the Academy of Computer Careers, where she graduated as student of the month, all while working shift work at the factory. During this time, she met William H. Buck Jr., and fell in love.   They were married soon after, and together Carol and Bill shared a blended family.  

In the year 2000, Carol retired and enjoyed spending her time outdoors gardening, growing her own vegetables, boating, skiing, going to Ocean City boardwalk, and fishing on 59th Street with Bill. She also loved attending luncheons and BBQs where she socialized and played games with friends at the Eagles, VFW, Senior Center, Burger King and Chick-Fil-A.  Being a member of the Millville First Church of the Nazarene, she was active in a variety of church events.  

Carol was predeceased by her husband William H. Buck Jr.; two brothers, Jonathan Jones Jr. and Robert Jones.  She is survived by two daughters, Nancy L. Pettit of NC, and Cindy L. Beebe of NC; two sons, Joseph Buck (Laura) of PA, and William H. Buck of NM;  three grandchildren, Christopher Pettit of FL, Isabella Buck of PA, Joseph Buck Jr. of PA; three great grandchildren, Corporal Alyah Pettit Fuentes of the USMC, NC, Isaiah Pettit Fuentes of FL, Lucas Pettit Fuentes of FL; four sisters, Marie McMahan of Fl,  Barbara Hess of NJ, Sharon Jones (John) of NJ, Edie Joslin (Wayne) of NJ; one sister in law Joann Buck of NJ; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.  

A Memorial Service will be officiated by Rev. Jon Merki at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 20, 2023 in the Millville Church of the Nazarene, 2201 E. Main Street, Millville.  Flowers and / or donations can be sent to the church in memory of Carol Buck.
