Bruce L. Haley of Dorchester, NJ passed away peacefully at home October 5, 2023.
Born in 1940 to the late Harold L. and M. Kathleen (McConnell), he resided in Millville until 1978 when he moved to his home in Dorchester.
After graduating from Millville High School, he began working at Armstrong Cork & Bottle Co., and remained employed at the same location until his retirement in 1999.
As an avid and passionate outdoorsman, Bruce spent his time away from work either hunting, fishing or preparing for the next “season.” He also enjoyed watching old Westerns and numerous types of sporting events on Television with a lifelong allegiance to the Green Bay Packers and Philadelphia Phillies. Along with his other hobbies, he was active in several Men’s Sports Clubs; softball, pool, darts, and bowling leagues while living in Millville, as well as golf.
Bruce is survived by his abiding wife of 62 years, Peggy Anne (Weiss); daughters Heather D. Kane of Dorchester, and Renee P. Haley of Mauricetown; son Bruce C. of Mauricetown; son in law, Anthony “Bud” Leonetti; grandchildren, Erin B. Kane and partner Kelly Swan of Cape May, Anna E. Kane of Cape May, Aidan A. Leonetti and partner Michelle of Vineland, and Kylan M. Haley of Mauricetown; one great granddaughter Alice F. Swan; a brother Patrick L. Haley; a sister Sylvia A. Jurick; and special nephews, Patrick L. Haley and Jeffrey E. Jurick, as well as several additional nieces and nephews. He was very sadly predeceased by his beloved daughter in law Tracy Platt Haley in 2018.
Private memorial services will be at the convenience of the family.
