Bertha Jane Bingham was born in Millville on September 30, 1927 and died on November 20, 2025 at the age of 98. She was predeceased by her parents Arabelle and Herman Doughty and her son, Glenn Bingham (Lorraine). Survivors include her son, Dane Bingham (Joyce) grandchildren Andrew Bingham (Kelly), Katy Bingham Cheesman (Justin), Brett Bingham, Brian Bingham and Brenna Bingham Redd (Jon); grandchildren Mila Marie, Harper Jane, Grayson Lowell, Austin, Logan, Benjamin and Julia. Also surviving is a favorite niece, Carol Angelo.

BJ attended Millville Schools and an x-ray technology course at University of Penn. She worked at University of Penn and Millville Hospital. She then went on to be one of the first jet engine mechanics at Airwork in Millville.

BJ and Lowell lived in St. Croix for a time and worked for Fairleigh Dickinson University there.

She found great joy in collecting seashells and competing in shell shows. Her extensive collection is now owned by Stockton University.

BJ also enjoyed crafts and gardening but her family gave her the joy that kept her going. She will be very much missed by family and friends. She lived a long and amazing life.

Cremation will be held privately. Memories of BJ and condolences for her family may be shared on her tribute wall.
