Barbara (Moore) Taylor Obituary

Barbara Moore Taylor, age 97, of Millville, NJ passed away on Thursday July 2, 2026.  Born in Millville, NJ, she was the daughter of the late William Moore Jr. and Ann Johnson Moore.  She was a lifelong area resident and graduated from Millville High School, Class of 1946.


Barbara worked for NJ Bell Telephone Co. for 6 years and worked in the meat department at Acme Markets for 30 years, retiring in 1990.  She was a member of the UFCW Local 56, the Society of Mayflower Descendants, the Van Zandt Society, and the Elder Williams Brewster Society.  Barbara enjoyed family, traveling in the US, needlework, reading, and puzzles.


Barbara is preceded in death by her loving husband G. Carl “Tack” Taylor, sons Matthew and Richard Romanishin, and stepdaughter Carla Yates.


She is survived by her dear sons Robert (Colleen) Romanishin and Nicholas (Nancy) Romanishin, stepdaughter Margo Cresci, grandchildren Matthew (Keiko), Jason (Jenny), and Tyler, and step granddaugther Margo (Patrick) Robinson, and 5 great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by her brother William (Mary Ann) Moore III, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.  


A graveside service for Barbara will be held privately at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, 601 West Main St., Millville, NJ.  Memories of Barbara and condolences for her family may be shared on her tribute wall.
