Barbara M. Pierce Obituary

Barbara M. Pierce, age 69, of Hopewell Twp., NJ, passed away on Wednesday January 25, 2023 at Inspira Hospital, Vineland. Daughter of the late AnnaMay (nee Godfrey) and Harold Evans. Wife of the late William Pierce. She is survived by her daughter Crystal (the late Chad) Cowan, step-son Jeffrey (Barbara) Pierce, grandsons Brandon (fiancé Courtney) and Zachary, step-grandchildren Shanna, Amber, and Charlene, as well as many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her siblings Jean, Margaret, Truman, Jerry, Ronald, and Bruce.

Barbara was born in Bridgeton, and lived in Millville for a time, before spending the last 40 years in Hopewell Twp. She spent her working years at Wheaton Glass, Millville, the Bridgeton Evening News, then Otopics in Fairton, NJ. Barbara was a very spiritual person, who would read her Bible every day and often listened to Christian music. She also enjoyed crocheting, camping, having her family over to her home for events and holidays, and spending time with her grandsons that she loved so much.

Relatives and friends are invited to join with Barbara's family for a viewing on Thursday February 2, 2023 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Christy Funeral Home, 11 W. Broad St., Millville, NJ. A prayer service will begin at 12:00 pm. A livestream webcast of the service will be available beginning at 12:00 pm. Interment will follow at Greenwood Memorial Park, Millville, NJ.
