Barbara Ann Olson, a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 1st, 2026. Barbara was a cherished resident of Millville, NJ, where she spent most of her life, creating a warm and loving home for her family and friends.

Barbara was born in Hoboken, New Jersey, to Rudolph Civtan and Mary Runge, who preceded her in death. She was a devoted homemaker, dedicating her life to nurturing her family and creating a welcoming environment filled with love and laughter. Her legacy is carried on by her children: Douglas Pettit (Rhonda), Sharon Beecroft (Gordon), Mark Pettit (Joy), William Pettit (Phyllis), and John Pettit (Shannon). She was also a loving sister to Bernice Blansett and Eleanor Quinn.

Barbara's life was enriched by her grandchildren: Beth, Gordon Kyle, Matthew, Cheryl, Sherri, Doug, Caitlin, Christian, Amanda, Courtney, Shawn, Brandon, and Eric, as well as many great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy and pride. She was preceded in death by her spouses, William Pettit Jr. and Eldean Olson, and her son, Bruce Pettit.

A graveside service to honor Barbara's life will be held at Greenwood Memorial Park, 1001 E. Broad St., Millville, NJ, on Thursday, August 6th, 2026, at 11:30 am. Memories of Barbara and condolences for her family may be shared on her tribute wall.
