Anthony Kuper Sr.

Anthony Kuper Sr., age 96 of Millville, passed away Thursday morning, November 16, 2023 at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland, which is the same day he would have celebrated his 66th wedding anniversary.  
  He was born in Poland to the late Peter and Mary (Tarnosky) Kuper Sr.  At a young age, he and his family immigrated to the United States, and he lived in Millville for over 85 years.  
  Anthony began working on the family farm, and then for several local oil companies.  He retired from Woodruff Energy in Bridgeton in 1992.  
  From 1966 to 1978 he was a member of the Lawrence Twp. Board of Education, where he served several years as President.  
  He enjoyed gardening and golfing, and he always cheered for the Phillies and the Eagles.
  Anthony will be sadly missed by his wife of 66 years, Jean (Leonetti); his children, Kathleen Vanaman of Millville, and Anthony Kuper Jr. and his wife Colleen of Voorhees; and two grandchildren, Gabrielle and Jordan.  He was predeceased by his brother Peter Kuper Jr.; and his son in law Dave Vanaman.  
  Funeral services will be conducted at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 in the Christy Funeral Home, 11 W. Broad Street, Millville.  Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the funeral home.  Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Millville.
