Anna "Ann" Rostock Powers passed away peacefully on July 13, 2026 at age 87 at UMC-The Shores in Ocean City NJ under the care of Journey Hospice. Her husband of 57 years, Michael M Powers Jr, her brother Anthony Rostock, sister in law Sr Anne Powers RSM, parents Louis and Jean Rostock and in laws Michael and Mary Powers Sr welcomed her into heaven.

Ann was born and raised in Trenton NJ. A ‘56 graduate of Trenton HS and a ‘58 graduate of Rider University where she met Mike in freshman orientation, she raised her family in Lawrenceville NJ working for several doctors in Princeton and Lawrenceville. She switched careers in the late ‘70s working for the City of Millville rehabilitating housing as she moved her family to support Mike’s new job. Helping others was her passion.

Ann is survived by her 3 children, Michele, Michael III ‘Mickey’ (Steph), and Brian (Dawn); her 4 grandchildren, Michael IV ‘Mitch’, Bryn, Connor and Cole; and her 3 great grandchildren Novah, Zuri and Kaiden. She is also survived by her sister, Lois McLeod (Alan), sister in law, Lynne Rostock and 2 nephews, Anthony (Kelsey) and Ryan (Meg).

Mom was our biggest supporter always encouraging whatever we did - cheering our successes and encouraging us when we stumbled. She cheered (or yelled), sometimes too loudly and incorrectly, at every sporting event her children and grandchildren participated in. We thanked her for passing us dad’s athletic genes rather than hers.

Viewing will be held on Tuesday July 21st, 2026 from 9:00 to 10:30 am at the Christy Funeral Home, 11 West Broad St., Millville, NJ. A funeral mass will begin at 11:00 am at All Saints Parish, Buck and Depots Sts., Millville, NJ. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Millville, NJ. Memories of Ann and condolences for her family may be shared on her tribute wall.

Although the last couple of years were difficult as dementia set in, mom would tell you she lived a wonderful life with a loving family and many friends. We thank all mom’s caregivers for their love for mom and support of us. In her honor, consider volunteering, making a donation to a charity of your choice or make a donation to The Powers Family Endowed Scholarship at Rider University, Attn: Nicole Altneu, 2083 Lawrenceville Rd, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648 which helps first generation college students like mom (and dad) afford to go to college.
