Angelo Geraci Obituary

Angelo Geraci Obituary

Angelo Geraci, devoted partner, beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, departed this world on Wednesday, June 3rd, 2026, surrounded by those who loved him. Born in the beautiful region of Sicily, Italy, Angelo carried the warmth, generosity, and passion of his birthplace throughout his life. He was a proud resident of Millville, NJ, where he had lived since 2014, after many years in Brooklyn, NY, and Upper Saddle River, NJ.

For 30 wonderful years, Angelo was the cherished companion of Diane Aronsky. He was a devoted father to his child Angelo (Diana), and a proud grandfather to his granddaughter Amanda. He is also survived by his loving siblings, Gina Magri and Joseph Geraci, and his dear nieces, Angela and Josephine.

A dedicated and hardworking man, Angelo liked to stay busy and found purpose in putting his hands—and his heart—into everything he did. He owned and operated Sergio Pizzeria in Manhattan, along with several other pizzerias and delis throughout his long career. His Sicilian heritage shone through in his culinary creations, his work ethic, and his zest for life. Even after retiring, he continued making pizza at home, a tradition his family eagerly looked forward to.

Angelo spent many joyful years traveling the world with Diane, embracing each new destination with curiosity and enthusiasm. He marked every trip with a baseball cap—his signature souvenir—and proudly displayed his growing collection as a reminder of the adventures they shared.

People were always at the center of Angelo’s world. He had a special fondness for both the very young and the very old, and he carried that same gentle kindness toward animals. His warmth was effortless, and his compassion left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Summers found Angelo in his garden, tending to his tomato and basil plants with enjoyment and pride. He had a natural talent for fixing things—no household challenge was too small or too stubborn—and he took particular pride in caring for his car, keeping it in impeccable condition. Staying active, useful, and engaged brought him joy, and he approached every task with steady dedication.

Angelo’s life was defined by the loving presence he offered to others. His legacy lives on in the memories he created, the traditions he nurtured, and the countless moments of kindness he shared.

A graveside service to honor Angelo's life will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 11:00 am at Holy Cross Cemetery, located at Sharp and High Streets in Millville, NJ. Memories of Angelo and condolences for his family may be shared on his tribute wall, where his spirit will continue to inspire and bring comfort to those he leaves behind.
