Alice E. (Baker) Wood

Alice E. Wood, age 90, of Audubon, NJ, formerly of Laurel Lake, NJ, passed away on Monday April 1, 2024 at Virtua Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Camden, NJ.

Alice was born in Philadelphia, PA and had resided in Laurel Lake, NJ for 35 years, prior to moving to Audubon, NJ. She worked as a crossing guard in Mt. Ephraim for several years, but most of her life, she proudly served her family as a homemaker. She was a social butterfly, was a past member of the Laurel Lake Homeowners Association, and was a loyal parishioner of All Saints Parish, Millville, NJ.

Alice is the wife of the late Joseph Wood. She is the loving mother of Alice A. Wood, Sharon (Robert) Knorr, Joseph Wood, and Charlene (Jay) Houck. She is the proud grandmother of Deborah Stagliano, Joseph Stagliano, Colleen (Harry) Tang, and Brian (Marie) Knorr; and great-grandmother of Braden, Nathan, Carson, and Harper. She is also survived by her sister Katharine “Cass” Scheviden.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday April 9, 2024 at 10:30 am at All Saints Parish, Buck and Depot Sts., Millville, NJ. There will be no viewing or visitation prior to mass. Cremation will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Alice may be made to All Saints Parish, 621 Dock St., Millville, NJ 08332. Condolences may be shared using the tribute wall.
