Alexander Lepak Obituary

Alexander J. Lepak, age 87 of Laurel Lake Millville, died Wed. evening, Feb. 27, 2013 at his residence after an extended illness.
Born in Mocquanocqua, PA, he grew up in Manayunk, PA., was an artist, art instructor, and a founder of the Manayunk Art Alliance. His specialty was painting scenes of the Schuylkill River.
He had worked as an electrician for Tasty Baking Co, Philadelphia, PA. prior to his retirement.
He was a Marine Corp Veteran having served three years during WWII in the Pacific Theatre. He had participated in the occupation of China. He was a member of both the VFW Post No. 8343 of the Villas and the American Legion Post No. 1006.
Also a musician, he was a member of the Cape May County String Band.
He is survived by his wife Dolores (Karstens); two sons, Gary Lepak of the Villas and Robert Lepak of PA; two daughters, Kathleen Shields of NC and Lorraine Maffei and husband Rich of the Villas; a step-son Robert J. MacBride of Limerick, PA; and a step-daughter Renée Cerullo and husband Frank of Estell Manor; a sister Helen Boron of PA; 14 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildlren.
A funeral liturgy will be celebrated in St. Mary Magdalene Parrish of All Saints, Buck and Depot Streets, Millville, Thurs., March 7, at 11 a.m.
There will be a viewing in the Christy Funeral Home, 11 W. Broad St., Millville on Thurs. from 9 to 10:45 a.m. before the service.
Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Millville.
