Albert Stowe Jr., age 56 of Millville, passed away Monday, June 9, 2014 in Cumberland Manor Nursing Center in Hopewell Twp., after an extended illness.
Born and raised in Millville, he was a life long resident. He graduated from Millville High School, class of 1975.
For many years, Mr. Stowe worked as a plumber for the Plumbers Union Local No. 322 until he became disabled.
He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Millville. He and his wife Susan were married by The Reverend Gerritt Kenyon, which was the first wedding performed in the church. He liked fishing, playing BINGO, and he especially enjoyed outdoor life.
Mr. Stowe is survived by his wife of 39 years, Susan (Myers); his children, Stephanie Lynn Stowe of Millville, and Albert Stowe III of Sarasota, FL; his parents, Albert Stowe Sr. and Betty Sue (Price) of Millville; his sister Darlene Barton and husband Stanley of Millville; his brother John Stowe and wife Connie of Millville; five grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. He was predeceased by one grandson Brad Parent.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 12, 2014 in the Christy Funeral Home, 11 W. Broad Street, Millville. There will be a viewing on Thursday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Millville.
